The Waynesville Inn offers a beautiful golf course setting with scenic mountain views, making it an appealing spot for relaxation. However, some aspects, like room cleanliness and wear, could use attention to enhance the overall experience. Breakfast is a delightful treat, but a few updates are needed to make the stay truly special.

We had a mixed experience at Waynesville Inn. While the historic charm of the place and some amenities were delightful, our stay was marred by noise issues and a lack of responsiveness from management. The food was genuinely good, and we appreciated the room flexibility. However, the disturbances and maintenance issues left us feeling unsettled about a return visit.

Rooms
We stayed in the Fairway rooms but found the noise from outside very concerning. The room itself was decent enough but lacked the tranquility we were hoping for. Rating: 5/10
Service
I was disappointed with the management's communication. Despite reaching out several times about our concerns, I never heard back. Service at the front desk was generally helpful, but the follow-up was lacking. Rating: 4/10
Location
The inn is set on beautiful grounds, but it's rather isolated, which made our experience feel more pronounced with the noise from the college band. Rating: 6/10

The food was a highlight during our stay! Breakfast was well-prepared with plenty of options, and dinner was delicious, particularly the steaks. Rating: 8/10
Facilities

I had a pleasant and relaxing stay at the Waynesville Inn. The stunning golf course views from my room were a highlight, and the staff were very attentive. However, I did encounter a few issues, like an outdated ice machine and decor that could use a refresh. Overall, a charming place that I would consider returning to.

The Waynesville Inn has a charming historic vibe, and I appreciated the warm conversations in the cozy sitting area. However, our experience had some significant drawbacks, mainly due to the unclean conditions of our assigned rooms and the issues with honoring our booking requests. While we enjoyed the breakfast and the restaurant on-site, the overall condition of the rooms was quite disappointing.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were unfortunately not well-maintained and had a musty odor. Our first room was barely acceptable, with a dirty carpet and the other room's fan caked in dust.
Service

Service varied from helpful during check-in to lacking when complaints about the conditions arose. Our requests were not respected, causing frustration.

Dining

The breakfast offerings were nicely set up and staff were pleasant, and we enjoyed two dinners in the restaurant with delicious food.
Facilities

While the grounds were beautifully maintained, the inn’s aging infrastructure is concerning, with obvious need for updates.
